OHIO UNIVERSITY LAUNCHES A
MASTERS IN COACHING EDUCATION
Athens, Ohio, Sept. 20, 2007 – The Master’s in Coaching Education online program, announced in 2007, is specifically designed to provide a convenient means for working professionals to acquire a Master’s in Coaching Education from Ohio University, regardless of their individual schedule or physical location. The online program, which is currently accepting applications, will significantly challenge students to gain knowledge and skills that can be easily applied in the workplace.
The Masters in Coaching Education online program is built upon practical knowledge and competencies and follows Ohio University Without Boundaries’ unique format combining the “anytime, anyplace” convenience and ease-of-access of online education with the personal touch of three one-week, high-intensity residential experiences. Two residencies will be held at Ohio University facilities in Athens, Ohio, while the third will excitingly be located at the U.S. Olympic Complex in Colorado Springs, Colo.
These intensive face-to-face residencies will provide students with the opportunity to be part of a diverse and dynamic group of professionals from various geographical locations and athletic fields. During this time students will have the opportunity to learn not only from their instructors, but also from their peers.
The Master’s in Coaching Education online program at OU provides a convenient learning experience, designed specifically for working professionals. This innovative program allows professionals with hectic schedules to take their education and experience to exciting new levels through both the residencies and the online coursework, which is made up of interactive learning modules. At the end of the 24-month program students will have their master’s with a concentration in coaching education.
