Demo Module Structure
A learning module is a part of a larger course. For example, this sample training module
is one of five modules in the Participatory Communication course. Each module consists of:
- Introduction - An overview of the
content and learning outcomes.
- Challenge - The central position
or issue, often presented as a real-life scenario.
- Activities - Specific short exercises
to supplement your understanding of the content.
- Response - The response page will
allow you to revisit your challenge, sum up your understanding fo the content and finally submit your
response to the challenge for feedback and evaluation.
- Reflection - Questions that will
reapply and broaden your knowledge on the module topic.
Other features in your module include:
- Module Resources - Access to all activities and
resources provided to support your working through the challenge.
- My Notes - Use this to document questions, issues
or personal discoveries.
- Discussion - Get to know others in your learning
community and see examples of how they have worked through their challenge and resources they have used.
While we have suggested an order in which to proceed through the module, you may find
yourself revisiting various sections and skipping around through various resources or even seeking out
more resources on the topic. What is most important is that you aquire all desired learning outcomes
through the completion of your challenge.
