Scott Elliott: Athlectic DirectorThe Ohio University athletic administration program was the ideal fit for me as a current athletic director, teacher, coach, husband and father of three young daughters. I was able to complete this program while continuing in all capacities of my life without interruption. I felt that there were a number of experiences that provided me with an overwhelmingly positive experience. I found the assignments to be extremely relevant to what is happening within the current athletic world. The professors were all professional and tremendously accommodating. The connections that I was able to develop with my professors and classmates through the residencies have allowed me to develop a better understanding of what is happening around the country and friendships that will last a lifetime. The OU program allows you to develop a network that will stay with you for the remainder of your career. This was a great experience and I would highly recommend the Ohio University Masters in Athletic Administration program to anyone aspiring to be a high school athletic administrator.
Jaye Cohen: Athlectic DirectorI truly do not think there is a better program out there. Ohio University's MAA program was a perfect match with my experience and my abilities thanks to the professors and the format of the program. The program forced me to network with other ADs which is an added bonus. It also allowed me to reach out to local constituents and open discussions that I was not familiar with in my area. The guidance of the professors allowed me to utilize my independent school experience but reminded me to think in public school terms. I truly enjoyed my experience during the past two years.
Thom Holdgate: CMAAThe athletic administration program through Ohio University was a perfect fit for me as a sitting athletic director. The ability to complete assignments online and be in constant contact with my professors allowed me to quickly use skills learned through OU in my everyday experiences. I found the relationships that I was able to build with my peers who were located throughout the country to be the best part of my experience. Learning from others from a variety of backgrounds and environments: public and private, middle school and high school gave me a more well rounded view of my profession. I cannot think of a better Masters experience for someone aspiring to be a high school or middle school athletic administrator.
