Eric ForsythProfessor, Sport Management Bemidji State University (218)755-2083 Bemidji, MN E-mail: eforsyth@bemidjistate.edu Eric Forsyth received his Ph.D. in Sport Administration from The University of New Mexico. He is a professor at Bemidji State University, and his primary duties include teaching sport management courses and supervising field experiences. During his doctoral studies he completed two internships; Albuquerque Public Schools Athletic Department, and New Mexico Activities Association. During that time he became quite aware of the financial hardship high school athletic administrators across the country were having funding their programs. These field experiences have paved the way to his passion with interscholastic sports; researching, presenting, and publishing. He has published numerous articles in trade journals and state association quarterly's, and has been an invited speaker to present at local, state, regional, national, and international conferences. He served as a consultant in the development of a new course offered through the NIAAA leadership training program; Athletic Budget Concepts and Supplemental Fundraising. As well, he collaborated with the Pennsylvania State Athletic Directors Association in creating a manual to assist athletic directors in soliciting corporate sponsorships. Just recently he finished writing two chapters that will appear in a new textbook that focuses on sport brands.
