Welcome to the Ohio Executive MPA!

In 2002, Ohio University began offering a Master of Public Administration in a completely new format. Our unconventional approach combines the best elements of the traditional classroom experience with the advantages of online learning. This "hybrid" program is uniquely suited for busy professionals in the public and nonprofit sector.

Not just a hybrid of the old and the new learning techniques, the OEMPA combines theory and practical lessons in its approach to public administration education. An important part of your experience is the application of your knowledge and skills in your own workplace.

The OEMPA has the same award-winning teachers as the MPA program on our main campus in Athens and our regional campuses. They bring a mix of scholarly pursuits and real-world experience to our learning community.
