OUWB designs, develops, and delivers learning experiences for professional working people and other adult learners. Working with the vast educational resources of Ohio University and with other partner organizations, we provide graduate degree programs, certificate programs, and learning communities in a wide variety of disciplines.

All of our programs are designed to break down the boundaries of space and time - they are available on an anytime, any place basis. They are based on the latest developments in learning theory and feature interactive, multimedia, on-line learning.

Since 1997, Ohio University Without Boundaries(OUWB) has worked to pioneer several important learning innovations. We initiated the use of project-based action learning in academic programs. We were early in the design and implementation of interactive on-line learning systems. We initiated the blended approach to distance education, combining interactive on-line learning with high intensity workshop residential experiences.

We have applied our competencies to everything from graduate level academic programs, to certificate programs for corporate partners and targeted groups, to focused learning objects that are used in learning programs and learning communities.
