The Real Estate Certificate program consists of four undergraduate courses in Real
Estate Technology. Completion of these courses qualifies students to be seated for the Ohio Division
of Real Estate exam.
State and Program Requirements
The State of Ohio requires 40 classroom hours for the Principles & Practices
course and also the Real Estate Law course. A minimum of 20 classroom hours for Real
Estate Appraisal and Real Estate Finance is also required by the state. It is suggested that unless participants
have a very strong Real Estate background that they take no more than two courses per quarter due to
the amount of work involved. Principles and Practices is a prerequisite for the Law and Finance courses.
