Sogeti, a wholly owned subsidiary of the international Capgemini SA organization, provides information
technology services to businesses and public sector organizations. They are one of the world's leading
providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services with over 82,000 people worldwide and global
annual revenues of more than 7.7 billion euros.
Sogeti Netherlands consistently hires some of the world's most highly-skilled and talented technical
experts to serve as IT consultants to Sogeti's impressive portfolio of clients. While many of these
employees have solid backgrounds in software engineering, programming and software testing, they often
lack formal business training that is critical for customer interface in their role as consultants. Sogeti
required a means to quickly bring new employees up to speed on relevant business concepts that would
increase the value of their service to clients.
After assembling the team of faculty and independent subject experts, a unique training needs
assessment was conducted to decide the most appropriate content and delivery method for the program.
Sogeti trainers collaborated with the OUWB team in plotting out the most effective program for driving
a holistic and applicable knowledge of the business process. The program is designed as a blended learning
experience, mixing team projects and online learning experiences delivered during a three-week
residency on the Ohio University Athens campus.
Along with greater overall working understanding of business processes, Sogeti coaches have noted
some of the following outcomes in participants who have successfully competed the program:
- More effective in teaming situations
- Better decision-making
- Faster lead-in times on project launches
- Improved feedback process
- Better focus on topic
- Better Time Management
- Efficient Research/ Fewer Assumptions
